Adopting a Barecats Sphynx Kitten

   Adopting a Sphynx kitten from Barecats Sphynx is based on a first come first served basis. We do require a deposit to hold a kitten. All deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance is due before the kitten is shipped or picked up. We do not accept deposits on kittens that are not born yet. I want everyone to choose a kitten from what we have available as there are never any guarantees of what colors or patterns  will be born in any one litter of kittens.

    You will find that the prices of Sphynx kittens vary a little depending on if you are looking to buy a kitten as a pet or one to show and breed.

    Every Sphynx kitten or cat comes with a health guarantee. We also have a contract. This is to protect the Sphynx kitten, Sphynx buyer, and the Sphynx breeder. Please see our contract for more information.

    We always welcome visitors to Barecats Sphynx to pick out and to visit their new Sphynx kitten. It is always nice when new owners can pick up their kitten in person. However, we realize that this is not always an option. When needed, many of our kittens travel to their new homes via Continental or American Airlines. We can ship the kittens to any major airport in the USA—weather permitting. They are sent to you in an airline approved carrier that is yours to keep. I have had only good experiences shipping the kittens. I have found that the airline employees are very careful with all of the animals that they handle

    Here at Barecats Sphynx we are not interested in selling our Sphynx kittens for breeding purposes to those who have not done sufficient research on the breed. Breeding the Sphynx requires many hours of time and effort. It is like having a full time job. The Sphynx require and need a lot of attention and care when growing up and one must be completely dedicated to breeding for health and quality first. We also require that all kittens sold to persons interested in breeding ALSO be shown in the CFA or TICA. Showing is an important part of breeding. It helps all dedicated breeders to keep their cats in line with the “Sphynx Breed Standard”. Showing is also very time consuming and expensive.
