Cat Shows We enjoy taking our Barecats Sphynx to shows. It’s a fun and interesting. In fact, it is something that we do as an entire family. My kids love to participate by taking the cats to the show ring. They also love it when they win a ribbon! At the shows we are able to meet other people with common interests. Over the years we have met many Sphynx breeders and even become close friends with a few. We also enjoy meeting other cat breeders as well. There is so much information and experiences to share. Even though there are many breeds of cats all of us breeders have a lot in common—WE LOVE CATS! Showing is an important part of breeding because it keeps breeders of the Sphynx and other breeds of cats in line with the “show standards”. Most reputable breeders show because they only want to breed the best cats possible. Not all cats meet show standards, but it is our goal to provide healthy happy kittens to prospective adoptive families that meet the standard as closely as possible.
